Confirm crawl and index signals
Review robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical tags, redirects, status codes, and noindex directives. Compare known pages with indexed pages in Google Search Console. Investigate important URLs that are excluded, duplicated, redirected unexpectedly, or discovered without being indexed.
Check architecture and duplication
Ensure priority pages are linked from relevant navigation and content. Consolidate duplicate versions caused by parameters, protocols, hostnames, or inconsistent trailing slashes. Fix broken internal links and redirect chains that waste crawl activity or create poor user journeys.
Improve templates and performance
Test representative page templates on mobile, not only the homepage. Review loading speed, layout stability, interaction responsiveness, structured data, image handling, and rendered content. Monitor changes after releases so new technical problems are caught before they spread across the site.
A healthy website is consistently crawlable, indexable, understandable, fast, and easy to navigate.
